Creators International School Benahavís officially opened its doors in September 2026 after more than two years of planning, licensing and preparation.

Mathematics, science, computer science and technology sit at the heart of its academic programme, supported by unusually small classes and teachers recruited for their specialist subject knowledge.

Creators International School Is Now Open
Creators welcomed its first students in September 2026, marking the completion of a project that had been in development for more than two years.
The founding Head of School is Joseph Short, a mathematics teacher and experienced international-school leader who has worked in education in both the UK and Spain. Before joining Creators, his career included teaching and leadership roles in Sevilla, Murcia and Marbella.
Short joined the project in May 2026 to oversee the final stages of recruitment, campus preparation and the school's launch. Speaking to The Olive Press following the opening, he described Creators' purpose as developing exceptional thinkers, particularly students with strong potential in mathematics and science.
The school opened with a teaching team of around 15 fully qualified teachers. According to Short, many hold master's degrees, two hold PhDs, and teachers work within their own specialist subject areas.
This specialist-teacher model is an important part of the school's identity. Rather than asking one teacher to cover several unrelated subjects, Creators aims to give students access to educators with deeper academic knowledge in the disciplines they teach.
A Specialist STEM Curriculum in Benahavís
Creators International School Benahavís follows a British international educational pathway while placing considerably greater emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics than most conventional schools.
The school describes its programme as an extended curriculum designed to go beyond the standard Cambridge framework, giving students additional time to develop subject mastery, analytical thinking and university readiness.

Creators International School Fees for 2026/27
The school has now published its official fees for the opening 2026/27 academic year.
Tuition for Years 7 to 11 is €18,000 per year, while tuition for Years 12 and 13 is €19,000 per year.
These are discounted founding-family rates for the school's first academic year. Creators lists the standard fees as €22,500 for Years 7 to 11 and €23,750 for Years 12 and 13.
Families paying the full year's tuition in advance can currently receive a 3% discount. Termly payments are also available, while monthly payment arrangements may be considered individually by the school.
For 2026/27, the published additional charges include a €150 admissions and evaluation fee, a €500 enrolment fee and a €750 one-time endowment fee. The enrolment fee is subsequently deducted from tuition. Lunch is compulsory and is currently charged separately at €2,000 for the academic year.
School-bus pricing had not yet been finalised when the current fee schedule was issued.
Fees can change between academic years, so families should always confirm the latest figures directly through the official Creators fees page before making financial or relocation decisions.
Campus and Facilities at Creators International School Benahavis
The physical setting is another unusual element of Creators International School.
The campus occupies a former four-star hotel in Benahavís, allowing the school to combine substantial existing buildings with classrooms, communal areas, sports facilities and specialist teaching spaces.
The school lists facilities for sciences, technology, humanities, languages and arts alongside a theatre, indoor multipurpose areas and a well-equipped gymnasium.
Sports facilities include a basketball and football court together with a 25-metre competition swimming pool. The surrounding Benahavís landscape also provides opportunities for outdoor education, physical activity and nature-based learning.
The converted-hotel layout gives the campus a character quite different from a conventional purpose-built school and is also central to the school's future boarding plans.
Boarding at Creators International School

According to the school's official 2026/27 fee schedule, boarding facilities are planned to become available from the 2027/28 academic year.
The school has said that the former hotel accommodation could eventually provide boarding capacity for up to around 100 students. Because the rooms were originally designed as hotel accommodation, they offer ensuite facilities and a more residential feel than a traditional dormitory layout.
